About the course

The Department of Chemistry offers two degree programs: the Bachelors of Science (B.S.) and the Bachelors of Arts (B.A.) degrees. A total of 124 hours is required to complete each degree program. Our chemistry degree programs provide an excellent foundation for career paths in graduate school, teaching, medicine, pharmacy, dental, and numerous industry positions. The B.A. degree program has a stronger liberal arts emphasis and could serve as a preparation for a secondary teaching career, chemical sales, or further study at a professional school. How to apply

Entry requirements for Mississippi State University

Certified, translated copies of all transcripts, mark sheets and diplomas, in a sealed, stamped envelope from your school.

　　Official ACT score of 20 or higher, official OLD SAT score of 940 or higher, or NEW SAT score of 1020 (only if your GPA is below 3.0 based on our evaluation of your transcripts OR if you are applying for scholarships). 2018
