About the course
As a studio art major at UIndy, you will embark on a journey that starts with a foundation of fundamental art concepts and moves toward the concentration of your choice. Whether you go on to become a studio artist or pursue graduate school, you will have honed your skills to achieve your goals. And you'll make the world a more beautiful place. The BFA is a professional undergraduate degree that prepares you to become a professional working artist or move on to a graduate program. The heavier course load gives you a fully rounded education and more hands-on experience with your chosen concentration. Courses provide a fundamental foundation in art, then move into specific concentrations. The Bachelor of Fine Arts provides the opportunity to pursue a concentration in one of seven disciplines.
