About the course

This studio and lecture based programme, led by academics and practitioners at the forefront of the discipline, aims to provide an engaging, exciting and innovative learning environment that encourages students to develop their individual professional capacities while placing equal emphasis on research and critical enquiry. We do this through design projects, academic writing, technological and constructional investigations and practical experiments, valuing innovation, investigation and original creative work underpinned by a due regard for rigor, depth and precision. Students are provided with a firm foundation in advanced methodologies and skills and develop a familiarity with the broader disciplinary, regulatory and societal frameworks within which professionals must operate.

　　The programme uses teaching, learning and assessment approaches such as individual and group design projects, live-projects, case students, scenario-based learning and written research and dissertations. Entry requirements for University College Dublin International Study Centre

Leaving Certificate:

　　O6/H7 in English, Irish, Mathematics, a third language and two other recognised subjects

　　International Baccalaureate - 33

　　IELTS - An average score of 6.5 over all components and a minimum of 6.0 in each band on the Academic Version. TOEFL - A minimum score of 600 in the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL PBT), with Test of Written English at 475 +. A minimum score of 90 is required in the Internet based TOEFL (iBT) with no less than 21 in writing and at least 19 in every other section.
