About the course
The Bachelor of Applied Management degree is designed for those with a drive to succeed in business, with a practical focus and a flexible structure. Students choose from a range of majors and elective modules, gaining a broad range of business skills, specialist skills, and work experience in their chosen major. Get the skills to become an economic powerhouse. The broad scope of this major equips students with the skills to get the best results out of people and processes. The skills gained allow graduates to plan and implement production efficiencies that translate to what every business needs: a better bottom line. In their first year, students will complete the eight core modules required for the applied management degree. These give students important broad skills they will need to excel in any area of business. Students will take three modules for the operation and production management major in the second year, choose three other modules that can be toward a second major, and two more core modules – Applied Management and Research Methodology. In their third year, students will study two more operation and production management modules and two other modules towards a second major. Entry requirements for Waikato Institute of Technology
High School Degree. All Official Transcripts. IELTS - 6.0. TOEFL IBT - 60. TOEFL PBT - 550. NCEA Level 3 comprised of 60 credits at NCEA Level 3 or above and 20 credits at NCEA Level 2 or above, including 14 credits each at NCEA Level 3 in three approved subjects, and Literacy (10 credits at NCEA Level 2 or above made up of 5 credits each in reading and writing), and Numeracy (10 credits at NCEA Level 1 or above), OR 60 credits at NCEA Level 2 in four subjects, including English, OR Satisfied the criteria for entrance to a New Zealand University, or an equivalent qualification approved by the Programme Committee, OR Completed an appropriate overseas School qualification, OR Completed a year of study at an overseas Secondary School, and gained the equivalent of 60 credits at NCEA Level 2 across four subjects.
