About the course

This Specialisation is incompatible with the Computing and Mathematical Foundations minor, Intelligent Systems major, and Advanced Intelligent Systems major.

　　The Artificial Intelligence specialisation offers a deep insight into the world of artificial intelligence and its current frontiers. Students will learn about AI search, optimisation, reasoning, planning, diagnosis, intelligent agents (reinforcement learning, information-theoretic foundations).

　　Learning Outcomes

　　demonstrate a solid understanding of a variety of Artificial Intelligence approaches.

　　formalise real-world problems and select the most appropriate Artificial Intelligence method to solve such a problem.

　　implement Artificial Intelligence algorithms and design and carry out empirical evaluations.

　　compare and critique all state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence approaches.

How to apply

Entry requirements for The Australian National University

Applicants who complete a recognised secondary/senior secondary/post-secondary/tertiary sequence of study will be assessed on the basis of an equivalent selection rank that is calculated upon application.

　　International Baccalaureate - 31

　　Academic IELTS - An overall score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component of the test.

　　TOEFL PBT - A score of 570 with a TWE score of 4.5

　　TOEFL iBT - An overall score of 80, with a minimum of 20 in Reading and Writing and 18 in Speaking and Listening
