About the course

From intelligent drones to virtual reality apps, cybersecurity to the Internet of Things, you will learn the design principles and programming skills to build the systems behind emerging technologies. Carve your own unique path with our accredited and flexible advanced computing program.

  This program could be for you. Specialise in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Development or Computational Data Science and combine with our shared pool of 100 plus majors.

  The Bachelor of Advanced Computing is an undergraduate coursework degree that will develop your practical and theoretical skills across the computing, information technology and business transformation industries. This course is accredited by the Australian Computer Society.

  You will complete core units that cover the skills needed to work as a computing professional, along with a major from the Advanced Computing disciplinary pool, and advanced computing elective units.

  You may elect to complete a minor or second major from either the disciplinary pool or the shared pool, and will complete electives from the disciplinary pool, the shared pool, or the Open Learning Environment as needed to make up the requirements of the course. Entry requirements for The University of Sydney

Admission this course is on the basis of the following criteria:

  a secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), or approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.

  TOEFL-IBT- A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing

  IELTS score- A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band

  TOEFL - PBT score-A minimum result of 565 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing
