About the course
Make a difference in young people's lives and understand the challenges they face with this BA (Hons) Youth Studies and Youth Justice degree.Whether you want to influence public policy or create change at a more grassroots level, this course will help you navigate the multitude of factors that affect how youth behave today.You will be introduced to modules which incorporate youth studies, criminology, criminal law, youth justice, sociology, psychology and cultural studies, as these disciplines are best placed to provide the necessary insights and framework for understanding all aspects of youth work.You will learn about educational concerns, offending behaviour including gangs and gang-affiliated young people, social exclusion and grooming, as well as aspects of social welfare, housing and other relevant local authority issues.
