About the course

This highly creative textiles course is designed to offer a balance between theory and practice – particularly when it comes to fabric design methodology and fabric production techniques. This highly creative BA Design for Textiles (Fashion, Interior, Art) will provide you with an expertise in designing and producing fabrics for fashion and interiors. The course will encourage you to develop your specialised knowledge and skills in textiles, and further your design ability.

　　You’ll gain experience of textile as a medium across a range of products, including fashion and furnishing fabrics, accessories, wall coverings, gallery pieces, greeting cards, gift wrap and stationery. This breadth of knowledge will allow you to make an informed decision to specialise in your selected pathways in printed and constructed woven, printed, or knitted textiles. This will establish your style and skill in your chosen textile design technique, making you highly employable upon graduation.

　　The combination of general textile lectures with those covering innovation will boost your knowledge in both traditional and cutting-edge approaches. You’ll acquire an understanding and knowledge of textiles, knit, weave, print, digital technologies, marketing strategy, and sustainable practices within the fashion, interior, and art industries.
