About the course
Integrate the key areas of accounting and financial management within a business context. Enhance your expertise in decision-making about financial resources. Develop fresh approaches to solving problems at work and integrate knowledge from a variety of topics. BA (Hons) Accounting and Financial Management (Top-Up) is designed for people who want to gain a full undergraduate degree. The course takes a minimum of nine months and a maximum of three years. You can study full-time or, if you prefer, part-time to fit around existing commitments. You will also qualify for our MAPS (Making Achievement Possible at Sunderland) programmes. How to apply
Entry requirements for University of Sunderland
Your qualification will need to be assessed by the course tutor to ensure the programme content meets the required learning outcomes for accreditation of prior learning from HND, Diploma, Foundation Degree or other NQF Level 5 qualification in a related subject. We also require three passes at GCSE grade C or above, which must include Mathematics and English Language, or an equivalent qualification, for example, a minimum of Level 2 Key Skills in Communication and Application of Number. If you have studied for a new GCSE for which you will be awarded a numerical grade then you will need to achieve a grade 4 or above. If English is not your first language we will require an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an overall score of 6.0 and at least 5.5 or higher in each component: reading, writing, listening and speaking. An alternative approved Secure English Language Test (SELT) can also be considered if the applicant's element scores are equivalent to those required for IELTS.
