About the course

Our Accounting and Finance Management degree concentrates on the practical applications of accounting and finance theories, boosting your employability by developing you as a business-ready graduate.

  Work-based learning - from case studies, problem-solving to work placement opportunities - ensures graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills to meet current and future market needs.

  Graduates will be eligible for exemption for some ACCA and AIA examination papers.

  All our graduating students† will also achieve a level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management from the Chartered Management Institute worth over £1,300 at no extra cost.

  Wrexham Glyndwr University is a Bronze Member of the Business Graduates Association and as such our business school students will be able to access a range of benefits including consultative services and the BGA eLearning hub.

  This course is part of a CHA3 subject group ranked 3rd out of Welsh universities for the teaching on my course in the National Student Survey 2022.

  You may also have the opportunity to go to the London Stock Exchange.

  All of our lecturers are professionally qualified in Accounting or Finance.

  Work placement opportunities are available to all of our students who demonstrate a good standard of engagement and professionalism during their studies.

  This is an ACCA Accredited degree with eight Exemptions obtained upon completion

  You will be able to participate in the new North Wales Business School Simulation Suite

  Your studies will follow a theoretical and practical approach to Accounting and Finance that ensures you build the core knowledge you need in the industry after graduation

  You will take part in the Business Schools new simulation suite where you can test and build you Accounting and Finance knowledge on simulated companies to apply the theories you learn in the classroom, into practice.

How to apply

Entry requirements for Wrexham Glyndwr University

The academic requirements for the course are 80-112 UCAS tariff points at GCE A-level or equivalent, from a minimum of two A levels and GCSE Mathematics and English/Welsh (First Language) at Grade C/4 or equivalent. Appropriate AS-Level and Level 3 Key Skills qualifications will also be taken into account.
