About the course
On this course, you'll gain an understanding of accounting and finance within the business environment, and develop the skills you need for a dynamic career. The course is designed in consultation with the main professional accounting bodies, and successful completion will gain you exemption from a significant number of the ACCA, CIMA and ICAEW accounting examinations. Learn the numerical, decision making and communication skills needed to succeed. Improve employability through an optional one-year paid work placement. Work on case studies and apply your learning to real-world situations. Complete a final year consultancy project — finding practical solutions to real-world client issues. Choose to study a language as part of your second year.

How to apply
Entry requirements for Sheffield Hallam University
Two GCE/VCE A level passes. High School Leaving Certificate, which is recognised as equivalent to A level standard. International Qualifications gained after 13 years of secondary/further education. International Baccalaureate Diploma - 28 points. IELTS - 6.0. TOEFL IBT - 79. UCAS points - 120. This must include at least 64 points from 2 A Levels or equivalent BTEC qualifications. BBB at A Level. DDM in BTEC Extended Diploma. A combination of qualifications, which may include AS levels, EPQ and general studies. We also expect you to demonstrate through your personal statement an interest in and awareness of accounting or some level of practical experience. GCSE - English language or literature at grade C or 4. Maths at grade D or 3. Access - an Access to HE Diploma with at least 45 credits at level 3 and 15 credits at level 2. At least 15 Level 3 credits must be at merit grade or above, from a QAA-recognised Access to HE course, or an equivalent Access to HE certificate.
