At XJTLU, accounting is far more than just cutting costs and managing transactions. Accounting is crucial for accountability as it encourages sound and ethical decision-making to positively impact businesses and society.
This programme offers you a distinct combination of research-informed and professionally accredited knowledge, techniques, and skills. You will develop a firm understanding of the financial drivers that underpin leadership, planning, strategy, governance, and ethics. You will also learn how accountants work with managers, shareholders and a wide variety of stakeholders, helping them to make informed decisions. Taking advantage of XJTLU’s unique learning environment, you will also learn and develop an appreciation of accounting practices in both the UK and China contexts.
Our accounting programme offers you the opportunity to gain exemptions from the accounting and management accounting professional bodies. Graduates can claim up to nine exemptions from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), eight exemptions from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), eight exemptions from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and six exemptions from the Certified Practising Accountants Australia (CPA Australia) dependent on satisfactory completion of certain modules.
