About the course

Environmental Science is the study of environmental systems, including ecology, oceanology, geology and the solution of environmental problems. Students who major in environmental studies or environmental science may go on to work for governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, or corporations. With an Environmental Science background, you can focus on environmental policy, collecting data or monitoring compliance on environmental issues. Some students who major in environmental science work outdoors monitoring water quality, tracking endangered species, introducing children to the natural environment, or advocating for new policies and better enforcement of policies that protect the environment and human health.
