About the course

Viticulture is the science that deals with grape growing. In Texas, there are approximately 4,400 bearing acres of grapes. This includes over 50 wine grape cultivars. The Specialization in Viticulture will emphasize the skills needed for students seeking employment at vineyards working in the Grape Industry.

  The agriculture program is committed to providing strong academic preparation for those seeking careers in the diverse agricultural and natural resources management area.
