About the course

The Carpentry program at Seattle Central College's Wood Technology Center will help you learn and master carpentry skills with the guidance and supervision of expert instructors. Our five-quarter Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree program is designed to help entry-level and experienced students become highly-skilled professionals in the construction industry.

  Carpentry is a fast-growing field, and northwest Washington has one of the highest concentrations of carpentry jobs nationwide (according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). The Carpentry program will help you gain valuable skills that employers want, and you will gain valuable experience with green building practices, cutting-edge materials and industry best practices. Program graduates find rewarding careers in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings, including: Framing, Roofing, Concrete and Foundation Work, Drywall Installation, Interior and Exterior Finish Carpentry, Building Science.
