About the course
This degree provides students with concise, broad based education in theater arts. Students receive instruction in the skills of the actor as well as the many behind the scenes disciplines such as lighting design, costume construction, directing, and stage management. Students in this program will have multiple opportunities to participate in theater department productions as a member of the cast or crew. All courses in this program are UC/CSU transferable.
Pursuant to SB1440, section 66756, to earn an AA-T in Theatre Arts degree students must:
Completion of 60 semester units or 90 quarter units of degree-applicable courses,
Minimum overall grade point average of 2.0,
Minimum grade of ?C? (or ?P?) for each course in the major, and

Entry requirements for Irvine Valley College
All applicants must provide proof of graduation from high school (or equivalent) in the form of official records/transcripts with certified English translation (if necessary). Students should submit transcripts from all years of study at the high school level. ubmit an official bank statement and Affidavit of Support verifying funds to meet our estimated annual tuition and living expenses.
