The MFA Painting Program at CSU is a contemporary painting program that encourages an intensive studio practice, experimentation, risk taking and an understanding of contemporary and historic art theory and trends. With a maximum of seven graduate students in the painting area, students work ly with the faculty and their peers in a community that fosters the highest level of creative growth. Graduate students in the Painting area have generously sized, semi-private studio spaces. In addition to the studios, graduate students have access to much of the department?s state-of-the-art facilities, including several exhibition galleries, a digital fabrication lab, a well equipped wood shop and two computer labs. An undergraduate grade point average of 3.000 (A = 4.000) is required by CSU regulation for admission.
Minimum TOEFL score for admission without condition is 550 (paper based), or 80 (internet based).
Minimum IELTS score for admission without condition is 6.5.
