Study to become a registered veterinary practitioner with the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). This degree will turn you into a career-ready vet with the skills to work in managing animal health and disease in Australia and around the world.

  This four-year graduate entry course is open to applicants with a completed Bachelor's degree who want to study to become registered veterinary practitioners.

  The Doctor of Medicine is a postgraduate coursework degree that will provide you with clinical and research training to develop the skills needed to be responsive to the health needs of individuals, families and communities and committed to improving the health care system at all levels. Entry requirements for The University of Sydney

To receive an offer of admission to the Doctor of Medicine (MD), applicants must meet the following three criteria:

  Satisfactory performance* in an eligible bachelor’s degree at the time of application, as indicated by Grade Point Average (GPA).

  Satisfactory performance* in an admissions test – Domestic applicants must submit valid Graduate Australian Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT) results with their application. International applicants may alternatively submit valid Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) results.

  Satisfactory performance* in an interview - Applicants who meet the minimum GPA and admission test requirements will be considered for participation in the interview process, the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI). Note: For 2020 entry, domestic applicants who attend a face-to-face interview will be required to complete a Situational Judgement Test (SJT) Trial (pdf, 152KB) after the MMI.

  TOEFL-IBT- A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 23 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 25 in Writing

  IELTS score- A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 7.0 in each band

  TOEFL - PBT score-A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 5.0 in Writing
